Who we are

Compare Notary is an independent comparison service. Questions or rights requests can be sent to quotes@comparenotary.co.uk.

What we collect

When you request quotes, we collect the information you enter, including location, document type, destination country, timescale, apostille needs, name, email address and telephone number. We also keep technical security records needed to operate the service safely.

Why we use it

We use your information to arrange the quote comparison you request, communicate about that request, prevent misuse, keep appropriate records and meet legal obligations. We do not add you to marketing lists through the quote form.

Who receives it

Your request is emailed securely to Compare Notary. We will then share the relevant request details with up to three notary providers selected for location, service fit and availability. Each provider becomes responsible for its own use of the information it receives and should give you its privacy information.

How long we keep it

Quote-request data will be kept for 1 year, unless a longer period is required to establish or defend legal claims. Security logs may use a different, documented period.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability or object to processing.

International transfers and security

We use proportionate organisational and technical measures, but no online system is risk-free.

Cookies

We use cookies to deliver, secure and improve the website. Google Analytics is treated as an essential analytics service and loads when you visit the site. It may set _ga and related identifiers in line with Google’s configuration and policies.

Marketing

Marketing consent, if introduced, will be optional, specific and separate from the quote request. You will be able to withdraw it at any time.
